Log of Jill's E320 #2's life with us.

I drove to Eugene, bought the car, and loaded it onto the trailer.

On the way home the car's alarm kept re-arming itself, and going off
every time I started out from a light. Fortunately the fob's range
reached to where I sat in the truck, so I could toggle it off.
Upon reflection I believe that this is a 'feature': if the car is
locked, then UN-locked, but no door is opened, it'll re-lock itself
after awhile. (Or, at least, re-arm.) Mid-trip I opened a door, and
then it stopped doing this.

I unloaded the car off the trailer. Looking at the cracked bumper
cover, and the car-lot photos, I believe this crack was made when
loading the car onto the trailer. (The ramps are just too short,
necessitating extreme terrain selection when finding a place to load.
That is not always possible.)
Unfortunate.
I believe, however, that if I remove the headlight I can both glue up
these cracks, and work on the big dent, making them both a lot less
noticeable. Maybe?

Unlike with the first E320, replacement cupholders seem to be
available. (Back in production?) Around $30, so I ordered one. That
and a transmission connector were $42.10 through Amazon.
On the plus side, a State inspection is no longer required before I
can license it. On the minus side the title, which is
missing, is required. So I have to wait for that to come.
(A request was submitted by the dealer when I bought the car.)
